My family has always been the most substantial source of love, inspiration and joy to me. My family consists of my parents, my wife – Zarine, and three brothers – Dodul, Mousum and Monosij. I love spending time with them at our beloved home Barnali.
My father, Meher Ali Mondal, is a professor of English literature at Kalna College, West Bengal. He is a self-made person and a man of principles. He is down-to-earth, philosophical and poetic. Poetry is his passion and he has written a few poetry books, too. He is my 'friend, philosopher and guide'.
My mother, Barnali Mondal, is the Headmistress of Bohar Girls' High School, West Bengal. She is soft, caring, sensitive and always keeps smiling. Gardening is her hobby. She likes to read novels and listen to music.
I got married to Zarine in 2006. She is a doctor by profession and completed her MBBS from M.G.M. Medical College, Jamshedpur. She likes to read books, cook new dishes and watch movies.
My younger brother Dodul is a doctor. He is currently doing residency in Radiotherapy at Calcutta Medical College, Calutta. He did his MBBS from N.R.S. Medical College, Calcutta. He is my best friend and has a great sense of humor. He has got a nice voice and is a regular performer at all of his college functions. He got married to Manisha, a senior resident at AIIMS, in 2008.
My second brother Mousum is studying Dental Surgery at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, Calcutta. He is an avid fan of cricket and is very good at playing video games. He is a good singer, too.
My youngest brother, Monosij, is currently a higher secondary (10+2) level student. Being the youngest child of the family, he is loved and adored by everyone.
